SURPRISE!! That was the theme of the weekend. Trey has been trying to figure out for months how to get to Utah for State Swimming. For Christmas he got a plane ticket for the weekend. The plan was that we would fly out Friday morning and fly home on Sunday morning. Everyone except Elise knew that we were coming. We were so excited. Then we came up with the idea to make t-shirts and spell out her name. It was all set and going to be so much fun! Then on Wednesday, Trey talked Taylor into coming to surprise Tanner. She flew to Denver on Thursday morning then hung out with Hailey and I for the day. She was going to catch a flight to Salt Lake the next morning. Then at 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon our flight was cancelled due to the expected snow. So we rescheduled. Friday morning Taylor and I drove to the airport. We got 14 inches of snow that we drove through. Taylor was lucky enough to make it out of Denver at 7. I got home about the time that she took off. Trey and I finished packing and cleaning up the house and checked our flight. It was cancelled. Once again we rescheduled. We finally made it to Salt Lake on Friday evening.
We met up with the Johnson family and had a great visit. Saturday morning we got up early to and went to the meet. We surprised Elise and our t-shirts were a big hit. Elise had a great swim meet and we had fun visiting with family. Then it was off to Logan. We went to The Jolt and surprised my siblings. Everyone was so excited and surprised to see us. We had a great quick visit in Logan including birthday dinner and cake for Trey. Then we got up early and came back to Denver. It was a quick visit but worth it! Then we took the next two days to recuperate from the exhaustion.
