For those of you that are following, we just want to let you know know that we have safely arrived to the beautiful city of Denver. We got in late last Friday and unloaded the truck Saturday morning. It was a beautiful drive. We saw things that we had never seen before including a large statue of Lincoln that can be seen from the road. This was along the way after making a beautiful climb through rocks and pine trees. Trey later looked it up and found out that it was built to celebrate Lincoln's 150th birthday and it weighs two tons. It originally stood at Sherman Summit which was along the old coast to coast Lincoln highway and was moved when I-80 was completed. Here is a link where you can read more about this big head and see a picture. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/8450.
Hailey did a wonderful job riding with Oma and Emily in the car while Trey and GK rode in the truck. Hailey slept from Ogden all the way to Rock Springs, WY where we stopped for gas and we all got lunch. Then it was back in the car and truck we went. Hailey slept most of the way to Cheyenne where we stopped again to get 50 cent ice cream and gave final directions to the apartment. We were hitting Denver right at rush hour traffic and so it was a slow time to our apartment. We passed a couple of accidents and fender benders, which caused things to be slow. When we final got to the apartment, we were so tired that we had made arrangements with Cam and Brooke to sleep at their place since they were on vacation.
Our apartment is the biggest apartment that we have had. It looks like there are some really interesting and fun people that live around here. The ward is awesome and we are going to love it.
Well no new pictures to go with this post. We are all doing well and we appreciate all the help that everyone has given to us. We love you all and are blowing hugs your way! Look for more to come.
