Wedding, Vacation, Finals, Camping, Moving Two Pat Downs and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

We have had so much fun this last month!  We have had so many adventures and been on the run all month long!  The month started out with a trip to Portland and Seattle for Tanner and Taylor's wedding festivities.   We had tons of fun with the Johnson family.  On August 10th Tanner and Taylor were sealed in the Portland Oregon Temple.  Elise was the greatest Aunt ever and watched Hailey and Shae outside while every one else went in.  Hailey loved playing in the fountain and looking at all the flowers.  Hailey and Shae were the cutest cousins ever in their white dresses and yellow shoes!  After the sealing we took some pictures outside the temple.  Then we headed up to Seattle for a family dinner.  After a very long trek north we finally made it!  Our hotel that evening was a fantastic adventure! When we arrived there were two police cars with their lights flashing in the parking lot.  It turned out that they had pulled someone over and he pulled into the parking lot.  However, don't ask Brooke or Emily the story, they had too much time to make up a good story.  The hotel we were staying at was right next door to Tanner and Taylor's hotel  (no it was not a relative of our hotel)  so we left the grand kids with Papa K and GiCi and went over and decorated their car.
After a short night we went to the church to help set up the reception.  After a full days work it was time to party! It started out with a nice ring ceremony (which Hailey screamed through).  The reception had all of Hailey's favorite things balloons, food, dancing, and lot's of attention!

After the wedding weekend, Trey, Cam, Brooke, and Shae headed back for Denver while the rest of us headed to Seattle.  We walked along the water front, went to the space needle, the mall, and the gum wall.  Then we just took it easy before heading off to the airport on Monday afternoon.  The airport was a grand adventure.  I ended up getting two pat downs and a bag search all over an ice pack! Needless to say I was very grateful to for family members who were there to take Hailey while I was fighting for an ice pack!

After a late night arrival in Logan, the Uncle's couldn't wait to see Hailey!  We all had a dog pile and snuggle in bed.  Then we spent a week in Logan playing.  We floated ducks and played int the canal at the park.  Hailey loved splashing her minions and then watching as they chased the ducks around.

For the MickelJamieJohnTay family vacation we headed over to Bear Lake and stayed in the campground down by the lake courtesy of Shelly!  We decided to go on Wednesday evening instead of on Thursday morning so we could enjoy the day on Thursday.  We were all concerned that last year when we decided to do this we ended up playing "Donner Party family Vacation."  (We arrived after dark with no flash lights, firewood, and no idea where we were going to stay).  To avoid a repeat of last year we started packing and shopping early in the morning.  We planned to leave arrive at the campground at 5:30 and we ended up arriving at 7.  Needless to say the Donner's had fun setting up the campground.  Lucky for us it was still light and we had everything we needed.  After the circus finally got the tent set up we had a very delicious dinner followed by a rousing game of Yahtzee.
The next morning we got up bright and early (courtesy of Hailey) and then headed to the beach.  We had a fun filled day on the water and in the sand.  We played on the jet skis and the highlight of the day was watching Eric and Mom get dumped in the water and then watching Kathryn jump in to be of assistance! Classic!  Hailey loved to water and the sand this time which was a surprise since she previously didn't enjoy either.
On Friday, we headed over to Bloomington Lake to play on the rope swing.  We enjoyed watching everyone swing and jump off the cliffs.  Then we had a picnic and headed for Shakes.  Then we had a nice relaxing evening filled with lots of entertainment.  Kath, Eric, Sarah, and Dan entertained us all with various renditions of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.
Saturday morning, we were once again awakened by Miss Hailey.  After a nice breakfast we headed off for the KOA to rent some bikes.  We got a nice assortment of bikes and headed down to the church to ride around.  We took Grandma Lois for a ride around the church and she loved it! Hailey thought it was the greatest thing ever.  We enjoyed the bikes and the nice weather.  We also lost Matthew who had been riding around the church and once again the Great Houdini escaped without anyone realizing it.  After a quick search we finally found him riding back towards the church.  Then we packed up camp and headed home for water games in the backyard.  We filled up a ton of water balloons and turned the sprinklers on and played on the trampolines.
After a nice relaxing weekend of playing and visiting with family, we headed to Brigham City to see the temple.  It was such a beautiful place and we enjoyed spending time there with family and friends.  Hailey loved having all her minions to carry her around.
On Tuesday, we headed back to Denver and found Trey.  He had been in Denver this whole time finishing up work, studying, and finishing his finals.  We can now say that he is finally done with school!! So now it's off to Kansas for a real job!
